Why this role matters.

The Production Director is directly responsible for all of the technical details in the audio, video and lighting areas within our weekend worship experiences. The Production Director manages all AVL equipment, including the purchase, maintenance, organization and operation of all AVL equipment for all locations. The Production Director seeks to add value through the use of technology and creative strategies that help Turning Point Church accomplish its mission and goals.

Responsibilities

  • Translating a creative or ministry vision into a practical technical execution.
  • Building and executing complete service flows across audio, lighting, video, lyrics, playback/tracks, and other production elements.
  • Anticipate technical and programming needs before rehearsals and services.
  • Leading rehearsals and ensuring production Leading both staff and volunteer production teams.
  • Recruit, train, develop, schedule, and retain volunteers.
  • Developing people from beginner-level volunteers into capable operators and leaders.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in live production, preferably in a church or similar live-event environment.
  • Experience overseeing production for weekly services, rehearsals, special events, and other ministry environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of live audio, including FOH mixing, monitor/IEM systems, RF coordination, signal flow, system troubleshooting, and audio networking.
  • Experience with professional digital audio consoles
  • Allen & Heath dLive experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Waves/SoundGrid or similar live plugin processing systems.
